What do you think of the new series on Amazon Prime and their approach on retrofuturism?

I just watched season 1 and was blown away by the enviroment that backs up the great story. It’s not necessarily steampunk, maybe a little bit more of teslapunk (with their take on electricity) and there’s the fantasy aspect, but I think it still matches the aesthetic and the idea of steampunk and retrofuturism:

How would the world be, when at some point, we would’ve gone the other way?

And what can we learn from it today?

It’s a great experimental thought!

I would love to hear what you think about the series or what you think about the general idea.

This post is a little bit different than my usual artwork posts, but I hope you don’t mind. It’s been a while since I started this blog and I would love to add a little bit more about the retrofuturistic mindset and add extras now and then, next to the artwork posts. So let me know, if you like it or not.

A list of totally random and mixed words that are all frequently used in the steampunk scene.

Each with a small explanation or definition.

This way everyone knows what everyone else is talking about.

This is the second list of hopefully more to come, and for this I need your help.

If you are thinking of a word that would fit in a list like this, then let me know!
